We are a small picture-framing workshop offering a personal service to
all our customers.
Our opening times are Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.30pm. Other days
& times by appointment.
We keep a selection of mouldings and mountcard in
stock. All mountcard and backing boards are conservation quality. We
also have a selection of ready-made frames and window mounts to choose
from. You can also buy
off-cuts of mountcard, very useful for all sorts of projects, for
can now offer a dry mounting service using our Drytac Hot Press. Ideal
for flattening cockled images so that they can be mounted & framed,
or for making posters mounted on 5mm foamboard or MDF (mdf supplied by
customers only). Images can be protected using heat-activated film .
We can also produce fine art quality prints using our HP T620 large
format gallery quality printer which uses HP Vivera ink. We use
Pinnacle Antique Fine Art
210gsm, Permajet Portfolio 220gsm, and Permajet Smooth Pearl 280gsm
paper and can print A4 to A2. Using our A3 scanner with
Adobe software we are able to scan images larger than A3 and produce
excellent quality high resolution images up to 2400dpi.
The Dame Hannah Roger's Trust acquired Seale-Hayne,
the former agricultural college, in 2009 and opened for business in
2010. At some stage professional picture-framing equipment, mouldings
were acquired but remained largely unused until I began the enterprise
in March 2013. Sadly, the ceiling of the workshop collapsed before I
arrived and many of the ready-made frames were damaged, albeit
slightly. So these are being touched up and sold off at bargain prices
to raise funds for the Trust.
